Neurobotanicals: a pandemic process & prints series

Works-in-Progress
The drawing process I have maintained throughout this series has become a meditative exercise. I begin each drawing without a plan or preliminary sketching, render a few inches to heightened detail, and then decide what to place in the next empty area. Once drawn in full intensity, completed areas are nearly impossible to erase or change without making a mess. Consequently, the more hours I spend on each drawing the greater the potential loss of time and energy if I am do not remain present.* In my drawing practice, as in life, I define success by my ability to remain in the here & now. I strive to be open and curious to the next possibility, and not overvalue whatever I have accomplished the day before.
*Each drawing can take up to 6o hours of drawing to complete.
